Top Withens

Of all the buildings associated with Wuthering Heights, Top Withens is probably the most famous. The house was the uppermost of three farmsteads on high moorland near to Haworth.
Though the farm did not match descriptions of the Heights, the setting may have been in Emily’s mind when she wrote the book. She knew the landscape of Haworth moor intimately.
Today, Top Withens is an enigmatic ruin.
